As an art appraiser I give clients peace of mind regarding valuations of art objects they own, wish to acquire or sell. These objects can have significant attachments for their owners so a proper appraisal is critical to helping them make the best informed decision.
As an art advisor my work is pure joy: learning which elements of fine art and design my clients enjoy living with and helping them acquire beautiful things creates lasting friendships and bonds that go beyond the object itself. There is a lot of high quality, distinctive and beautiful art at every price point to cover a wide range of tastes. It is a pleasure for me to match clients up with pieces that truly matter to them. My passion is representational art, furniture design, and fine art glass of the Americas and Europe starting from the late 19th century through the present. The depth and breadth of works for this period is substantial in terms of quality and variety and resonates with collectors from the most diverse backgrounds and walks of life.
I curate fine art exhibits of painting and sculpture on behalf of estates, including major art fairs during Art Basel Miami Beach and in Palm Beach. http://www.adrian-albert.com/past-exhibitions.html.
I advise beginning and experienced collectors on acquisitions and sales, and I build collections of lasting value. Advise museums, corporate collections, and universities.
I received my Bachelors of Arts from the University of Chicago with a major in English language literature, and a minor in mathematics. I also did graduate work in mathematics. My art training includes a certificate from the University of Oxford for continuing education in foundation courses and special courses in art. I have an asset management credential (AAMS®), and I work with family offices, private collections and corporate collections in managing fine art assets.
